Do you ever go house hunting for no reason what so ever? I don’t have the funds or the intent to move but you look anyway? And then you come across a beautiful cottage in Suffolk; Walnut Tree Farm, set in 12 acres on Mellis Common in Suffolk, is a Grade II listed gem made famous by Roger Deakin’s book, “Notes from Walnut Tree Farm.” This tranquil countryside home, lovingly restored by Deakin, showcases a large kitchen, a cozy sitting room with an inglenook fireplace, and three unique outdoor baths. The extensive gardens feature orchards, meadows, and a picturesque moat. The images speak for themselves but as I was sprawling through them I could just picture myself there as I was in some sort of period film picking my own flowers from the fields and reading a book out front in one of those beautiful vintage wicker chairs.
